This camera has a built in time lapse mode which makes it easy to set your intervals and number of shots to create a time lapse of your desired duration. You can choose between 3 scenes, each allowing you to adjust between different ranges of intervals and number of shots. While in time-lapse mode the camera automatically turns to eco (economy) mode which means it reserves battery life to extend the number of shots possible. The resulting video will not have sound as it is a combination of several images, not fast forwarded video. The other settings you can adjust are lock exposure to first shot, which prevents the camera from adjusting the exposure on each shot. If you are shooting in a really bright area you can turn on the built in ND filter to get your exposure just right. Adjust the settings and test them to your preference to achieve the perfect time lapse that you want!
